Fishing report for week ending 21/11

Pools flooded over last Thursday but had subsided by Friday and pools were all fishable for the weekend, some of the surrounding roads were flooded but Chris Laidlaw made it through on Friday and had a successful days fishing catching 4 fish, Shane Williams also caught 4 using black buzzers and olive spiders.
Rob Britten caught his 2 with a blond nymph tied partially from his grandsons hair.
Gareth Hill caught 3 all taken taken on a chamois fly, David Glover hooked 7 but landed 4, mostly on a brown egg fly.  Fred  Wood hooked 3 and lost 3, Colin Jones and Rhys Williams  landed 3 each , Colin caught his on a Corixa beetle and Rhys had success with his Green Peter wet fly. Gary Tucker took home 4 catching with his green Damsel on the gin pool. Craig Evans caught 2 blues and 3 rainbows, on chamois flies and black gnats.
Adam Jones from Cwmbran landed  5 including a 6lb 5oz Rainbow from the lower lodge pool which he caught  on a black snake. Andrew Jeavons was delighted to catch one of our Tiger fish which led him a merry dance before coming  to the net, then was successfully released.
Our weekly delivery of fish this week from Exmoor Fisheries included 50 larger fish, Rainbows and Blues, weighing between 4lb up to 7lb  plus our usual 2/3lb fish, all available for catch and release and catch and kill. Popular flies this week have been, on dry fly, klinkhammers, deer hare sedge, black gnats, hoppers and Griffiths gnat, and buzzers and nymphs. We are open every day from 7.30 am
