Fishing report for week ending 30/01/20

We stocked this week and were pleased to see several blues going in with the Rainbows, always a pleasure to have the Blues which tend to be a little more elusive and once caught, a little more aggressive and exciting to land.
Ben Sullivan  Here with his dad Nigel for his first fly fishing experience,with a little help from dad , caught 5 trout on a green damsel from the top pool. Daniel Pearce caught 9 fish from across all pools including a 6lb and a 4lb 2oz Rainbow. Colin Bryant landed 3 fish, Mark Williams landed 2,  Hugo Perks 2,Carl Williams 9 on catch and release, Paul James 3, Gary Tucker 2, Colin Gooch 4, Harry Webb 2, Jason Williams 10,  David Evans 5 including a 3lb 5oz blue trout. Andy Hickman 6 including 1 Tiger trout taken on a Alexander fly off the bottom of the lodge pool on an intermediate line .
Popular flies this week have been, yellow egg flies, skinny buzzers, green spider, chamois, blood worm all fished best static under a sight indicator, blue flash damsel, hot head damsel, white snake, and off the top klinkhammer, black gnat and small hoppers.
